Takata recall. I had them place an order for the air bag, and they said they would call when it arrives. Still no call. I mentioned the rental car option, and they shrugged it off. Also, the upper and lower control arms have been replaced only 2 years ago, and they are already going out again which can cause loss of control. They should not be going out so soon.

On September 18, 2018 I drove to a rutter's and when I started to drive home the power steering went out. I turned my car off and then on and a warning light referring to the steering came on. I called apple Ford dealership in york, pa and brought my car in the next morning. They confirmed that the steering rack had to be replaced. The repair cost was $2,200, which I ended up paying. After researching this issue I discovered that the same issue was recalled on the 2011 Fusion but not the 2010. Also I've been waiting for the part for the takata recall. Since I needed a rental while my car was being fixed they put me in a long term rental since the airbag part hasn't come in yet. I'm hoping they will recall the steering rack for the 2010 Fusion as well.

When the car is in motion a passenger will be sitting in the car and the air bag light will go on, saying the air bag is off. Therefore it is not protecting my passengers in my vehicle. This has happened on a continual basis since I have had the car since 2013
We received the recall on June 1, 2016, NHTSA recall #16V384, we have yet to have it repaired. We are not the front passenger seat because the risk of injury as outlined in the recall. The manufacturer has yet to repair the issue.
Takata recall our dealer put us in a rental the end of July 2018, which is great to protect us from the airbag. But I am beyond furious that I am paying for a vehicle that I cannot even enjoy. This is unacceptable and I think Ford needs to make the situation right. They need to buy back the vehicle and put us in another vehicle for the same price. So the recall occurred late last year 2017/ early 2018 and they only put us in a rental in July. What if something would have happened before then. Beyond disgusted!

Three days ago I received a letters from auto airbag settlement saying that I should do the recall as soon as possible. However Ford still doesn't have the parts. I have been waiting for 18 months.
