Canyon 3.5L

My 2005 GMC Canyon has been intermittently not starting for 10 mins. because the security system shuts the fuel line off. I checked with others and found that this is a big issue with the Canyon and other GMC automobiles. I've finally, after over a year dealing with this issue, took it to the dealer. The truck has been at the dealer 3 times in the last week and a half and they haven't been able to fix the problem. The problem seems to be in the pass lock. The dealer used their analyzer to find the code - well didn't find any code to fix the problem so they made a new key (which is not a key with a chip). That didn't work! After I paid $116.63 for their testing equipment and the key was $18 and that didn't work.

It is at the dealer now since yesterday. The dealer said I may need to use the key manually and not use the pass lock. This is unbelievable but it may be the only solution. This past year I also had a new computer installed by the dealer for $924.44 because the truck stopped while I was driving it.....I called the tow truck but cancelled it because the truck started within a few minutes. I drove the truck to the dealer. Since the computer has been changed it seems the pass lock problem got worse. Please help....the GMC dealer is not fixing the problem, and I'm frustrated to say the least.

The dealer is Lester Glen Buick-Pontiac-GMC 230 Route 37 East, Toms River, NJ 08753.

I look forward to hearing from you. I do hope you contact the GMC Corporate office along with Lester Glenn.
