The contact's customer owns a 2015 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that while driving at an undetermined speed, they noticed smoke emerging from the engine compartment. There was an abnormal popping noise detected and the vehicle caught fire. There were no warning indicator lights illuminated. There were no reported injuries. The fire department extinguished the fire. It was unknown if the vehicle was towed or whether a police report was filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 110,407.
