problem #2

Dec 162007

Accord EX 2.2L 4-cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 128,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

The noise occurs whenever the drive train is put into a high torque situation while in gear. Also, it gets worse as the vehicle warms up. The thump seems to be coming from under the front passengers' feet. It will occur most often when going up a hill or accelerating at a low rpm. If the clutch is engaged while its happening it will stop immediately. Does anyone have experience with something like this?

This car has been to the shop and checked the cv joints and mechanic couldn't find anything and the noise would happen while he had the car... problem is getting worse ... during acceleration any gear (5 speed) dull thumping noise and can't seem to find. Also considered tires but it only happens during

acceleration or going up a light incline... PLS help!
