UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS: Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight. The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

I have replaced my door actuators twice now, and both times I purchased them from a Honda dealership. All 4 door locks seem to become inoperable over time. the last time I replaced them I had to buy 2 at a time since they seem to go out at around the same time. They just stop working with the electronic door lock or alarm button. I have to manually lock-and unlock the doors every time this happens.
I asked the Honda service tech and he stated that Honda is aware of this issue on other cars, but not mine. The problem is that I can keep buying these parts and save my receipts and wait for Honda to recall this issue on my car, or complain loud enough for Honda to just get on it and take care of the issue.
Each door lock actuator could run between $80 to $120, a full set will run you about $400. I am buying a new set from Amazon since they are cheaper, and I will see if this happens again.
The way I see it: Honda owes me about $800 bucks, plus what I am about to spend on the next set.
I was locked in my car today and could not get out. After shutting off the motor and driving around for awhile as the alarm is also sounding, I clicked on the unlock button on my key and the alarm stopped, but I still could not get out of the car. I started the motor again and drove away from the stores to keep from annoying anyone else with the sound of the alarm and it stopped. It did not happen again today. It had happened one time before and I ignored it, thinking I had done something wrong. Now I am concerned that I may get locked inside with my baby granddaughter on a hot day and what if the car doesn't start. It is frightening. I will be looking for a new car and maybe not a Honda after all.
Not only does the remote fail to open the door locks, the key and pull-up knob also fail, so you can get locked INSIDE the car (the locking knob gets locked down), definitely a safety hazard, and the key will not unlock the door from outside. I had to crawl over the center console and go out the passenger door.
