In February, I noticed the roof seams on my 2018 Honda Accord are rusting and you can see the bare steel!!! My car is parked in the garage overnight, yet outside during the day at work. I take it to a collision expert and he gives me an outrageous cost to fix it and then says "just clean it up and use touch up paint." I use the Honda dealership obsidian blue pearl touch up paint to "repair paint" the roof seams. It's rough, but at least I can't see bare steel anymore. Of course, I forgot to take photos before I used touch up paint. :(

My friend then tells me about Technical Service Bulletins. I search and low and behold - my color Accord manufactured in the MD facility in 2017 are listed as problematic. MY EXACT CAR! I take it to Honda and they advise I see a specific collision expert and will likely cover repair. I make the appointment, he takes photos of questionable area and says he will be in touch in a few weeks... and it's been OVER 2 MONTHS!!! I have followed up multiple times with repair company and growing irritated with Honda as well. The longer Honda and this collision repair business waits, the longer my car can further deteriorate.

My first Honda purchase and overall, I love my car but I live in FL and rust is VERY REAL and Honda knows they have a problem, yet don't seem to fix it.

The pin stripe is coming off of the driver's side door. I didn't take it in because I took it in recently and I didn't notice or I would have pointed it out.

This is my 5th Honda in 20 years. Honda has always been one of my favorites, especially when the 2018 Sport came out. I bought my 2018 Honda Accord Sport in November of 2017. I work my ass off to be able to afford nice things. The paint chipping on my car absolutely makes me SICK. Granted, yes I know that it can be normal wear and tear due to driving, BUT NEVER in my life have I had a car where the paint chips so easily and is so bad. Every time I hand wash my car I get sick. I ABSOLUTELY HATE MY CAR NOW AND IT'S NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD. I tell ANYONE who will listen that Honda is not what it used to be, it's almost as if Honda got ahead of themselves this time and "rushed" to get this car on the market. I got so mad just typing this complaint!!!!!! When I bought this car, this was going to be my son's for when he turned 16, but I won't do that to him, he deserves something better than a chipped paint car. Hell I deserve even better. Needless to say, anyone that says I have a nice car, I always reply with wanna buy it. If a tree were to fall on it, I would not car one bit, that's how pissed I am. NOT A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

There is no reason to have so much dirt in a factory paint job.
