The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while cleaning the front windshield it was discovered that the front windshield was cracked on the passenger's side. The contact indicated that no impact to the windshield had occurred to cause the crack. The windshield had been replaced previously due to cracking. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer Honda West located at 7615 w. sahara ave, las vegas, nv 89117 and the manufacturer were notified of the failure however, no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 12,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that there was a stress fracture in the windshield that occurred without an impact to the windshield. The contact had the windshield replaced by crown Honda of southpoint (1001 southpoint autopark blvd, durham, nc 27713; (984) 300-4924). The contact stated that five days after the windshield was replaced, the new windshield had a stress fracture as well. The contact contacted the same dealer, who inquired if the vehicle was being driven in sport mode at the time. The contact stated that the vehicle was in sport mode the time of the first incident however, the contact was unsure about the second incident. The windshield was not replaced. The contact stated that while pulling into the driveway at approximately 5 mph, he heard an abnormal cracking sound. The contact noticed that the windshield started to fracture from the passenger's side of the windshield towards the middle of the windshield. There was no impact. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 17,135.
