> door locks malfunctioning - (actuator replacement) left rear door lock does not remain in locked position. All doors lock, except for rear door lock on driver's side, engages but slowly reverts to unlocked position, which poses security risk to life (self, children and pets) in addition to unsecured property... this is an ongoing issue and the second time we encountered problem, and had to replace the driver's door lock (actuator) about two (2) years ago, and suspect the the remaining door locks will soon fail as well....??

Both passenger side door locks are malfunctioning. They make a very loud noise when attempting to lock/unlock. More importantly, they will only stay unlocked for a brief moment before moving back to the locked position. Manually maneuvering the lock is next to impossible, which creates a big safety hazard of the vehicle potentially locking passengers inside with no means of opening the doors.

The door locks started making a loud racket driving and stopping - when you were driving over 10 mph locks are supposed to lock automatically and then when you stop and park unlock automatically. Apparently there was an extended warranty that covered front driver actuator and right and left rear door locks. This extension warranty expired November 2015. Howdy Honda dealership here in austin Texas was able to have front driver side door actuator replaced under warranty. The back driver and passenger doors will not lock. The new actuator was going off continuous in attempt to lock the back doors. I took back to howdy Honda, they said they would reprogram my key to stop it from trying to continuously lock the back doors as it was apparent that the new actuator would wear out rapidly from doing this.. if I am driving and stop at a light or crossing, anyone can just open the back door and hop inside my car and car jack me. Also, with these doors not locking I cannot set the alarm. This affects my insurance, as I have car insurance stating I have an alarm system - well if my car is vandalized or stolen it will come back to my problem as I did not set the alarm - I cannot set the alarm the back doors do not ever lock. I explained the insurance problem if vandalized or stolen; I explained the safety issue of being car jacked or someone opening the back door at a stop and grabbing one of my kids from the back seat or getting into the car. The cost quoted is $552 to repair back door locks - this is all connected to the front driver door actuator that has been replaced, but has now been disabled by howdy Honda as it was going off and on continuously trying to lock back doors and that would wear out the new actuator just installed 10/26/2016 under warranty.

Direction relay switch is only audible when vehicle is parked and at idle. Road noise dampens the sound of the direction relay at most speeds and road conditions. Manufacture does not offer an optional direction relay which could increase the decibels of the relay. When sound of directional relay does not cancel after a less than 90 degree turn then continued flashing of the exterior directional lights has caused near misses with other vehicles.

The front and rear locks on the passenger side have failed. When the vehicle is locked, the passenger side locks automatically switch to the unlock position, regardless of the vehicle being stationary or in motion. Even after locking the vehicle, the door can be opened by passengers or people outside the vehicle. This poses a serious risk for young passengers who may open the door while in motion if the child safety lever is not activated. I have already paid the Honda dealership to repair the front passenger side lock actuator, but after the front lock actuator repair, the rear lock actuator broke. In 2015, Honda issued an extended warranty on the locks, but the extended warranty period was only a few months from the issue date of the letter. My lock actuators broke shortly after the end of the extended warranty period. I attempted to have Honda repair the locks as part of the campaign and they refused. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this issue to determine that the defective lock actuators are a safety issue and a recall is necessary. Please refer to code of federal regulations [70 fr 39966, July 12, 2005] 571.206 standard no. 206; door locks and door retention components. -S4.1.3.2 'side rear door locks. In passenger cars and multipurpose passenger vehicles, when the locking mechanism is engaged both the outside and inside door handles or other latch release controls shall be inoperative.

Passenger front door lock actuator (NHTSA reference: #10057463) - I was never notified by Honda of this class-action settlement - my mechanic informed me on 8-30-16 of this settlement during a routine oil change - after contacting Honda America at 800-999-1009 -ext [xxx], I was informed the settlement for the passenger front door actuator was amended and terminated as of November 2015 - my passenger front door actuator has been non-working since the 1st quarter of 2015 - Honda has politely refused any corrective action - twice I have been informed that a manager will call to review my request; no calls have been received - I have received recall notices from Honda (I.e. March 2016 regarding the airbags) so I am definitely in their computer system - had I been made aware of the passenger front door actuator settlement I would have immediately contacted the local Honda dealer for a prompt and full repair free of charge questions: A) does Honda America bear any burden of having to document they did send written notification of this settlement in a timely manner? B) why was a termination date agreed to of Nov. 2015" if a part is defective, as it clearly is in my situation, it will remain defective even after Nov. 2015" C) what recourse do I have that the NHTSA can assist me with? thank you information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Front passenger door lock mechanism failure prevents normal operation of the manual lock control and locks passengers into the vehicle. With the failure, the manual lock control has high mechanical resistance and immediately returns to the lock position after attempting to unlock. This power lock failure is not not fail safe, and creates a safety hazard as it is nearly impossible to unlock and then open the door before the door locks itself. Exiting the vehicle in emergency situations such as an accident is compromised as passengers are locked into the vehicle. I respectfully request the initiation of a safety inquiry for this failure to support a mandatory recall for power lock failures in 2007 and other affected years of the Honda CRV.

I have four issues. First, my power steering assembly needs to be replaced. It is leaking and will cause more problems. I see on many sites where this issue is very prevalent in 2007 CR-V's. second, the interior lighting does not work correctly. Only the back inside lights come on when the doors open; the front drivers inside light only comes on when pushed; the front passengers inside light does not work at all. Third, the back passenger side door will not lock. I am not able to lock it manually or remotely. It locks and pops right back open. I see many complaints online with the locks on 2007 CR-V's. fourth, the TPMS light stays on.

Summer 2015 my A/C started to blow warm air. Took my car tot he Honda dealership in which they told me that my compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. I replaced the compressor as it was just starting to warm up. According to tsb #sb-12-072 NHTSA id #10056005, there was an extended warranty for those parts, but of course my VIN number was not involved. Even though it was the exact same problem. I wish there was a way to even get partially reimbursed because $1,900 was a lot to swallow.

After I had my Honda repaired due to a recall for something due to a problem with its suspension, my tires can not be balanced and the tire warning light does not go out. The ac just stopped working prior to the summer of 2015, . the right front door lock stopped working about the same time and now the starter had to be replaced. The car was getting its tires replaced when the tires would not balance and the tire warning light would not go off. The starter would not work after I left an appointment in the parking lot. I do not know if the car was movig or stationary when the door stopped working.
