I thought the seats in my 2007 Fit base were bad, but those don't hold a candle to the CR-V. Absolutely no support, no padding, no comfort. I can handle maybe an hour behind the wheel before my body needs a 15-minute break. We refuse to take this car on any trip and actually bought a new 2014 Highlander XLE just so we could travel further than 100 miles from home. The seats are literally THAT bad.

During the test drive, the salesman mentioned this had a new whiplash protection system. On a shorter drive, I didn't notice as much that the headrest pushed my head obnoxiously forward. There were too many things that I was checking on a short drive. Nevertheless, in the weeks after purchase, it quickly became a posture problem pushing my head too far forward, even causing back pain. I finally bought a 1 inch thick custom cushion to shove my whole body forward so that I could sit up straight while driving. Honda wouldn't offer any help other than to say the complaint is frequent and many people just take the headrests out or turn them backwards. But, that provides no neck support in an accident.
