I am having problems with my 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring - a battery drain. I remove the fan relay and it still drains, but when I remove the backup fuse, it won't drain my battery but the radio, Gps, interior light, seat, and door don't work then. Can you please help me with this problem?

Thanks!

took the car to the dealer, they said it is normal for the battery to go dead if you don't drive the car at least once a week. I have four car, the Honda is the only one that does that. If you let the car sits for months yes. For a week no.

I love this car but the car is draining batteries over night. The battery has been replaced. The alternator is charging. But over night while the beast sleeps it sucks a battery to dead 0.1 v. My garage charger will not charge the battery while connected to the car, because it shows 0.0 volts while connected (the charger does not see a battery). When I charge the battery to 100% the car works fine. It also can accept a jump start from my truck and from there charge itself up. What the heck do I do? The clock in the radio, computer, power seat, alarm, power door locks, power sliding doors, and all the wire in between are suspects..... I guess, as they do not require the motor to be running to use the battery. I miss the old simple cars.

Update from Jan 31, 2010: Still no resolution but there is a constant voltage draw of 2.83 amps while it is off and locked up. Good for 6-7 hours of battery I figure.

Update from Feb 6, 2010: The Guy at Answer .com suggested that it is often the AC Fan Motor relay. Check the amp draw. Remove the relay. Check it again. Fixed!!!!!!!!!! Now the constant draw on the battery is only 500 milliamps instead of 2.83 amps. Much Better. Thanks Answer.com and Carcomplaints.com! I was losing my mind. It was only 27.99 for the replacement relay at autozone. And 9 dollars at answer.com. Yay!

Honda Odyssey is a great family minivan with well designed interior space. However, the battery goes dead frequently but when I take it to the dealer, they say all is well. The same problem has been reported by two other friends owning same model.
