The car engine turns over but doesn't start. I replaced a cam position sensor but a friend thinks it is the timing belt. The car is an interference engine. Should I replace the timing belt and hope for the best?

Elantra GLS 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission

This problem occurred 8 months out of ECM coverage under the factory emissions warranty, though within the 80k miles. The dealership was no help whats so ever. I will try to contact further up for assistance but I don't have much hope of any help from Hyundai. This car has been decent for the price until you start adding up major components like ECMs. this will probably be my last Hyundai. For it to pop ECM.s at $735 plus programming cost every 80k miles, that just not right.

wont start, wont turn over... nothing. i have never had single problem with the car, it's paid off in 5 more months, no clue anything was going wrong, oil changes and all the "necessary upkeep all done on time...i go to get some dinner and it just won't start...this sucks!
