The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the timing belt and exhaust camshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer who confirmed the diagnostic results. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 108,000.
