Since I got this car the motor was always giving me issues and spent over 2,000 dollars to keep it running but finally the motor oil leak just went all over the place. This is very annoying as I still owe over 17k to the bank.

What should I do, I'm not wealthy just a hard working person that we depend on my pay check to pay check.

This problem began right after the last recall fix at the dealer. It never leaked oil before.

Cherokee Limited 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Car was leaking oil ridiculously around 65k miles. Took my mechanic awhile but eventually he discovered it was a crack oil filer housing. The dumb engineers at chrysler decided to make this part impossible to replace. You need to remove the manifold to replace this part. This turned a $200 fix to a $500 fix. My mechanic called a jeep dealer to order parts and they said yeah this happens all the time what a joke. Don't buy 2014 jeep cherokee because I got rid of mine and that POS is out there for resale.

I've had many issues with this vehicle. Many inconvenient recalls, ongoing transmission slippage pending a class action lawsuit, warping discs and now the expensive oil cooler.

Cherokee TrailHawk 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

Gaskets failed around the oil filter assembly causing an oil leak. Cost of repair was in excess of $800.00 with little of that being the cost of the parts.

Cherokee LS 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission

It is quite pathetic that Jeep is aware of this common error made by the company and they aren't recalling the parts or covering the repairs. We should have known that this car would be a piece of crap because it is a Chrysler. Because of this dumb leak, my vehicle will not pass inspection and I am now in a car that is not safe for my family to drive around in.

When we contacted the local Chrysler dealer, they informed us that they are AWARE of this common leak and that there has been a new O-ring replacement kit made simply because of the high rate of replacement!

IF YOU KNOW there is a problem and it was a manufacturer error, FIX IT!!!!
