CarComplaints.com Notes: There's no way around it, the Cherokee's transmission is junk. There's no other explanation for why a vehicle, usually with under 40,000 miles, would have so many complaints

Cherokee Sport 2.4L

When leaving a stop sign, accelerating, or turning, the right universal joint wobbles a lot!!!!!

They don't have a part yet. They talked about end of July! They said its not dangerous! How can a wobbling car not be dangerous? What about tires??

Cherokee Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 134 miles

Purchased a Jeep Cherokee Limited brand new from local dealership. Ever since we have got it, when you take off from a stop or straighten out from a turn the front end wobbles back and forth. The dealership where the vehicle was purchased says they can not find anything wrong or get it to do it. You can get into the vehicle and drive a few miles and get it to do it. Sometimes it can sway bad enough you feel like a tire is coming loose. Once the car gets going it levels out. It is very annoying especially for what the vehicle cost. It has the safety package on it, probably so you won't think your going to die driving it. I would like to really get this fixed if at all possible. Thanks for your help.

Cherokee Laditude 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

Where do I start? Was in the shop at 715 mile for transmission flash. From there it just got worse. Wobble is still there after many days in the shop. They are now rebuilding a brand new vehicle, two new front axles and other parts. Has been in the shop more in 2 month then my work truck with 200,000 mile has been in 10 years. Hmm, does that make sense? This is not a Gripe, Rant, Yell. I just want a brand new vehicle that is safe when I drive it. Don't know what this wobble is, don't to the rest of the vehicle but it can't be good.
