Car started smelling like something was burning... after inspecting noticed the burning dots within the glass right at the defreeze lines and smoke was coming out. It had already melted a bit of the windshield wiper. Once I went to get back into the car, the area around it exploded violently, there were pieces of glass over the Hood and some even hit me.
It was safe as I pulled over once the smell of smoke was intolerable. But had this happened while driving I would have sh...t my pants. And could have even be worse, it also cross my mind to put windshield washer on it, not sure it that would have been a good idea either, some of that has alcohol and would have been fairly cold compared the glass making it even worse.
