CarComplaints.com Notes: On August 16th, 2012 Jeep stopped production of the the Jeep Liberty, marking the end of a troublesome journey for the SUV.

All in all, the 2012 Liberty actually excels off-road, but since 99% of drivers never take this thing off pavement, that becomes somewhat of a moot point. The Liberty suffers from the worst fuel economy in its class (16/22 MPG) and offers an uncomfortable ride with suspect braking ability.

This Jeep has so many repairs since I purchased. The transmission has been repaired 3 times plus the torque converter has been replace. Electrical problems, front end problems, dash has been removed and replaced, strips on the inside of the doors has been replaced, and most of all, this car is a safety problem for me and anyone on the road. The overall problem is Jeep knows of all the problems with this vehicle and is now offering me to trade instead of replacing. Jeep is trying to get me to trade it in instead of replacing the product. This is why I will not buy a Jeep anymore.

If Jeep will not honor their word, that makes them look bad. I am advising anyone with a Jeep to please be care.
