I bought this car for my daughter, and it's terribly troubling to me that Nissan seems to ignore a known safety issue regarding the lighting system on this car, we chose Nissan because of past experience with the company. I have owned a number of Nissan vehicles, in fact my first vehicle was a 1985 1/2 Nissan truck, and I've also had the privilege of owning 2 quest vans, a maxima, and two Titan trucks, one of which I still drive daily.

So when it came time to pick out a vehicle for my daughter, Nissan seemed like a great choice. But when I contacted Nissan about this issue, I was told there wasn't anything they were aware of with the headlights on a 2018 Nissan Altima. And that's gotta be crap, because it's all over the internet, and it's like $1000 to get the headlights and bulbs swapped out and you have to take the bumper and everything off, it's not a easy fix. I am very disappointed in Nissan's failure to stand behind an obvious safety issue and turning a seemingly deaf ear to my concerns.

Hello. I purchased a brand new 2018 Nissan Altima SR Special Edition last year in April. The headlights on this vehicle are EXTREMELY dim and I am a type one diabetic with really bad vision. This could eventually end up being a really bad problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Altima LS 2.6L V4

  • Automatic transmission

When I started to drive the car a few days ago I noticed that the low beams where extremely dim. I had to resort to using my high beams just to make it to work. I am not sure what the problem is, but I feel that this is extremely dangerous. The car is less than 2 years old, this is not something that should be an issue. I have not have it looked at yet, but I do not trust the dealership to do the work for a fair price and I am at a loss as to where I can get this issue repaired.
