This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While driving home from getting our winter tires changed over to summer, my husband noticed a revving in the engine even though he did not have his foot on the gas. He did manage to get the van home before any accident occurred, however when he was in the driveway the engine revved up to as far as it would go without anyone touching anything. It was taken to Nissan garage and found that the cruise control cable had snapped and required replacement. If this had happened while he was driving on the highway I hate to think of what would have happened.
