Horrible transmission, slips when speed is around 20-30. Has had problem since may 2017. Vehicle is used maybe once every 2weeks. It is getting worse. Any class action suits I can join to repair the transmission? Prior to transmission, there were problems with fuel gauge that left me stranded on the highway three times in the last 3 years. Nissan recently fixed it for free. Please share whatever solution comes up for the Nissan Quest transmission problem 2007.
driving down the road in lunch hour traffic, when all of a sudden with no warning, check engine lights, nothing at all. My 2007 Nissan Quest lost all ability of motion. I was able to get it to cost onto a side street and then the entire engine dies. I try to restart the engine then all of a sudden I get CHECK ENGINE, SLIP, TSC FAILURE. I was not able to get it to start back up right away. I open the hood and check to see if the belt might have broke. Nope that was not it. I check all fluids. Oil, Transmission, Break, Power Steering. all in normal range. After setting for 30 min. I was able to start the van back up with lots of hesitation. I put the van in reverse so far good, I put in neutral, good, put in drive NOTHING, only thing happens is the engine revs up real high, drop it into low gear I get to move in forward motion. With out wanting to take a change with my life let along those around me by driving it in low gear to the nearest auto repair shop. I call a tow truck and have it towed in. I take it Friendly Auto Care in Austin Texas. They hook it up to the computer that tells you just how screwed your going to be. Well after a few min. the auto tech tells me that one problem is now the crank shaft sensors are error out. Probably by losing power or the ability to convert the energy from the crank shaft to the transmission. But they would not be able to tell me why the transmission went out with out taking it out, looking it over. The normal high dollar diagnostic fee's. I end up getting home over 3 hours late. I google known problems with Nissan Quest transmission and what do I find. I see that there was or is or should be a class action law suite because this seems to be a known problem. Now I have to try and fight get the dealership to fix it under warranty since this is a known problem and since I just happen to be outside my warranty by 20 thousand miles. Gee what luck. If there is a class action case I would love to be part of it. If anyone in the Austin, Texas area knows of one. Please forward my info.
