CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Nissan Quest is great in terms of low complaints, but it also has an abysmal crash test rating for one very common type of impact.

The IIHS' "small overlap" crash test rates the vehicle's ability to protect front seat passengers when the car is impacted across 1/4th of the front bumper.

This mimics hitting a pole, or an off-center crash into another car — more common in the real world than a full frontal head-on crash.

See our crash test page for the detailed results — As you can see from the IIHS' crash test video, the Nissan Quest does not protect intrusion into the passenger space & major injury to the front seat passengers is likely.

Sent the van to Nissan for ABS recall repair and also got my serpentine belt replaced. The check engine light went on when I got the car back. I got a P0840 code which is for transmission pressure sensor. Nissan said I would have to replace transmission. They have a faulty transmission or they could have ruined my van after the repairs

My car key was not starting the car last few weeks and I replaced the battery of the key. That seemed to fix the issue, but on that day the "no key" message showed again. After a few tries I was able to start the car. After a few mins I started hear a smell and smoke, pulled over and fire started. Some one in the parking lot had an extinguisher and I was able to extinguish the fire the fire started from the floor between driver seat and the door after the fire I can see that the power cable area is where it started

Electronic sliding doors do not stop and retreat when a full size male is standing in the door way. With full force the man is pushed out of the way even as he is putting his full weight into the vehicle. The only way to get the door to stop is to react quickly and push the door open/close button.

The following has happened 5 times. Everything on the vehicle powers off, without warning ~ steering, light, S brakes, etc. The vehicle slowly stops and nothing can be done. (immediately prior, the fuel gauge shows 1/4 a tank and the trip computer shows 60 miles left on the current tank. We put gas in it and everything starts to work again. Nissan sent me a postcard stating that they were aware of the problem and would be fixing it when parts are available. I called Nissan today and parts will not be available until August!!!!!
