This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Bought four toyo Z800 ultra tires as a set on March 22, 2003, when my 1995 Nissan Sentra gle had 134492 miles. Car was properly aligned, wheels properly balanced, and tires properly inflated at all times. Replaced one tire December 21, 2007 at 177988 miles; because of sidewall cracks and a thrown chunk of tread (roughly quarter-sized). Replaced other three tires December 13, 2008 when my car had 189006 miles; because of tread area cracks and light cracking on sidewalls (pictures available). (note: Those three Z800S had identical dot numbers and to the best of my knowledge, the fourth did also.) a representative of the original dealer is giving me a prorated refund of the original purchase price, which I consider to be a satisfactory resolution.
