Sentra SR V6

This is the 2nd time this happened within a couple of weeks! I'm driving through town, on my way to work doing 30 mph, and all of the sudden the car comes to a screeching stop! Again, something red & white flashed up on the screen over the steering wheel so fast I couldn't read it. I was in such a panic, I just caught the colors. There wasn't any other vehicle in front of me, nor any objects. I'm hoping this doesn't continue to happen, especially while driving on the highway with a vehicle behind me because that vehicle could crash into the rear of mine! I decided to google to see if there were any other complaints and saw similar issues with older models. I feel like there may end up being a recall???

I was on my way to work and, while driving about 30 mph through town, all of the sudden the car comes to a screeching stop! I saw something red & white pop up on the auto screen above the steering wheel but didn't catch what it said. It scared me because I wasn't expecting it. There wasn't any other vehicle around, nor any objects that were close, so I don't know why the heck it did that!

Sentra SV 2.0L

I say this was covered under warranty, and what I mean is there was no cost to me. The dealer said there was a Distance Sensor Code C2582-97, so they replaced a sensor part #28438-6LA3C on 12/3/2021. But was that the problem and did it fix it? No, and here's why. This happened twice and now we are scared to drive the vehicle.

Let me explain the issue. On December 2nd 2021, we we driving home and it had rained earlier so the road was wet. We were driving about 30 mph then all of a sudden the dashboard went black, a huge triangle appeared on the dashboard, about 3 or so inches across (it was so fast I couldn't tell exactly or read what it said), then the brakes locked up. Thank God, nobody was behind us, or it may have been an accident. The whole thing happened within a 2-3 second time frame, then the car returned to normal. Didn't have to shut it off or re-start it or anything. This happened 10:00 at night and we had a 140 mile trip ahead of us, so needless to say we were on pins and needles the entire trip.

We made it home and brought it right to the dealer the next day. I know the site says list your issues individually, but the same exact thing happened on 3/1/22. It is back at the dealer again right now. My wife doesn't want to be in this car anymore, she doesn't feel safe. How can the service dept. convince me they've fixed the car now, when they're not sure what's wrong, and they didn't fix it right the first time? It was interesting that the dealer did offer to get us out of the car and put us in an Altima, however the trim level that our Sentra is, the Altima they were offering wasn't close.
