CarComplaints.com Notes: Owners are reporting that their engines are running out of oil awfully quick. As in, 1 quart every 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains that’s with the “normal” operating range of the 2AZ-FE while owners maintain that’s complete BS.

The issue may be the result of defective piston rings.

First time purchasing a Toyota Camry; I have never experienced so many problems with a car. I am “Fed-up” with all of the faulty/defective problems: both sun visors fell off (they replaced), faulty digital radio, dashboard melting and have to wait 4 to 6 months for replacement. *If you asked that question would I purchase another Toyota the answer would be “no” and forget a referral.

I am using this car since 2014 and here in month of July - Sept, its getting melted the dashboard which could not happen. I have seen another similar complaint and for your reference I am pasting the same on below. So it seems for this particular model got some manufacturing defect particularly for the dashboard may due to the lack of considering the weather condition here. So please reply for a solution. I can send you more pictures or videos if required.

Another complaint noticed in the web. I have purchased my 2008 GLX Camry from Al Futtaim(Toyota) in UAE. The car was first registered in Feb,2009.

After a year it has started melting dashboard. I complained to Toyota service but they said it's normal. After warranty finished the dashboard cracked in 2013-2014-2015, starting from passenger airbag to the driver speedometer. All the edges has a big crack and the most dangerous is the airbag crack.

I have complained twice in last 3 months to Toyota but they refused first time. Second time they agree on approximately a 30% discount. I refuse to pay.

I don't know where to approach and whom to write to take this serious. Regards

Toyota has became the world well known and luxury brand in world's automobile industry. The brand has been trusted by all driver from all over the world.Unfortunately, the quality of Toyota product has been the car owner feel annoying and frustrated on the quality of product proceed by Toyota ( melting, crack, shinning and sticky dashboard).

Due to the brand has been widely trusted. Meanwhile, plan to purchase of brand new Lexus and just wondering how will be quality of this car ?

However, just wait for Toyota to respond on the above issues before proceed with any new purchase of Toyota brand New car. Thus, would like to hear the call up from Toyota for the replacement on the dashboard as soon as possible.

I purchased my Toyota Camry used from Capitol City Motors in Jackson in march, overall I felt like I had a great deal. However, I realize that my dash was melting after I had tried washing and cleaning it myself and after that i went back to the dealership they basically told me that its my problem. Take it to Toyota is what they said. I don't know what to do I've exhausted all possibilities and any suggestions are welcome. Very disappointed in Mississippi with Toyota at this time.
