CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009 Camry used to be adorned with our “Seal of Pretty Good” but that was before an alarming number of complaints started rolling in for excessive oil consumption.

Owners are being caught off-guard with how quickly their cars are running out of oil. No leaks, no spills, just 1 quart of vanishing oil in as little as 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains this is “normal” for the 2AZ-FE engine, even though they issued a TSB for the problem in August of 2011.

When accelerating from a stop the seat goes back and clicks in. When coming to a stop the seat slides forward. The action is repeated constantly. I brought the vehicle in and the dealer told me it was a worn track. They said it would cause $2054. To repair and charged me $65.16.

Driver seat stops functioning up and down. Took it to roseville Toyota and they didn't repair and told us it is functioning now. Called several times and no one cares. Now the Camry has 46,000 miles they just told me it is out of warranty. Also Toyota customer service refused it and told me it is out of warranty. Manager dominic campanelli and jessica romero were very aggressive when I called and didn't provide customer service. Updated 01/05/13

When my wife would get in the passenger seat of our Camry and get belted in for a minute or so before I got in and started the car, the seat belt off light would illuminate. This has happened several times and does not seem to happen if I start the car before she belts in. This was reported to eddy's Toyota and they recalibrated the seat sensors but the problem did not go away.

Numerous car seats with missing or incomplete torqued bolts where found after leaving the car seat assemble area the Toyota Camry is manufactured at the Subaru of Indiana plant. There is an email where my boss explains its not a serious safety issue.

The operation of the side seat airbags on the Toyota Camry are compromised due to the fact that the integrity of the seat cushion has a design flaw that causes the cushion to collapses around the airbag. Which would change the angle of the airbag and cause it not to deploy properly.
