My son-in-law had the same problem with his Camry. Not sure why Toyota isn't fixing this issue.

Camry 2.5L

  • Manual transmission

I replaced the rotors and brake pads using Brembo rotors and Akebono pads. I did the labor and parts cost around $120-$200. My mother has the same car and had the same problem.

Camry SE 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,000 miles

P.O.S. car; in addition to excessive oil usage (2010 Camry) I have had ongoing problems with brake pulsing (fixed several times) and faulty sun visors (they don't stay up--expensive fix). I used to be a loyal Toyota customer but my experience with the camry and my problems with my 2001 Sienna will ensure that I NEVER buy Toyota crap again!

Camry LX 3.2L

The car started to shake when i begin to slow down. I thought it was my brakes but it end of being rotors.

Camry SE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 58,500 miles

VIBRATION WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. FIRST TIME WAS AT ABOUT 23,000 MILES, GLENDORA TOYOTA TURNED OR MACHINED THE ROTORS AND SAID THEY KNEW ABOUT THE ROTOR PROBLEMS, BUT IT WAS NOT A RECALL. NOW, THIS IS 2ND TIME AND THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE EXPENSE EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE EXTENDED 100,000 MILE WARRANTY I HAD TO PAY $220. BY THE WAY MY BRAKE PADS ARE STILL FINE AT 80%. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TIME OR WHEN THEY SAY I NEED NEW ROTORS??? WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY OF THIS WHEN THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM WITH THESE ROTORS. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN TOYOTA FOR NOT COVERING THIS PROBLEM AND FEEL THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.
