Camry SE 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,402 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

This car should be inspected for a forward collision detection system issue.

Twice now this system has engaged for no reason and once we were almost rear ended because if it at 75mph. Extremely tired of this car! if i could I'd given it back a long time ago.

Camry XSE 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 659 miles

Had radar cruise set at 70 mph on the freeway with nothing around me for at least a mile. I was coming home from work at 3am, and all of a sudden the car started braking VERY rapidly. Hard enough that it had me pushed forward in my seat and the seatbelt locked holding me back. This has happened numerous times. Even when backing out of a parking space with nothing around and nothing behind me.

Update from Nov 4, 2018: Update: I now own a 2nd 2018 Camry XSE as my 1st one that had the braking and numerous other problems was totaled. Stupid me took the money from the insurance company and bought another 18 Camry XSE just like my 1st. I was on my way to the dealership on Wednesday Oct 31st to meet with the GM and Dealership Owner about problems with THIS Camry as well and to see what they were offering about trading me for a 2019. On my way to the dealer on the interstate, had cruise set at 75, nothing in front of me, one vehicle 2 lanes over from me, and THANK GOD nothing behind me, a huge orange vehicle popped up on the screen between the gauges and the vehicle locked up the brakes on its own. 2ND 2018 CAMRY IVE OWNED TO DO THIS!!!! It was raining, the car was fishtailing and sliding around and finally stopped braking and let the car go. Wasn't even a minute after that the message popped up on the dash that Collision Avoidance System was unavailable and to CLEAN SENSOR. I hit resume on the cruise, and it said CRUISE CONTROL UNAVAILABLE CLEAN SENSOR. I'm so sick of Toyota and all of their bull*$#%. The GM and Dealership Owner is suppose to be contacting the head of Toyota about what to do. Scout GPS will never be fixed. Center Headrest being crooked is a WELL KNOWN issue and 3 FTS from Toyota worked on my car a few weeks ago trying to figure it out. NOTHING SOLVED. This new bodystyle Camry is the worst they have EVER built. Reliability has totally gone out the window and Toyota DOES NOT CARE. I paid $36k for this piece of crap the end of August 2018. Has less than 2500 miles on it, and they want to offer me $26k if I trade it in. Will NEVER own another Toyota ever again.
