At around 38,000 miles and around 3 months after the warranty expired, the starter went out. I contacted Toyota and my local dealer and no one would help. Luckily, I was able to find a rebuilt part and a trusted mechanic friend installed and saved me a lot of money. This along with the rear door sensor constantly indicating the rear door is open and the front driver window coming off track a lot has helped me decide to never buy a Toyota again. Their products lack the most basic of quality and their customer support is equally as bad.
