The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the air conditioning unit was leaking fluid inside the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact noticed leaks coming from the passenger side where the glove compartment was located. The contact also noticed mold growing on the carpet inside the vehicle. The failure was repaired for the same failure one year ago, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the air conditioning unit failed. The dealer (Buick GMC of Mahwah, 386 NJ-17, Mahwah, NJ 07430, (201)-252-4475) stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls. The failure mileage was 138,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. When the defroster was activated, it failed to clear the windows and windshield. Also, when the air conditioner was activated, cold air blew through the vents for 45 minutes followed by hot air. The vehicle was taken to murphy auto sales (812 N william kumpf blvd, peoria, il 61605, (309) 676-4241), but the cause of the failures could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 178,475.
