The contact complained about multiple problems with this vehicle. The 4-wheel drive actuation motor was replaced. The heater core became blocked and was flushed by the dealer. The steering box and pitman arm were replaced. Also, the front wheel bearings were replaced. The headlights became dim. The rear windshield wiper stopped working. The dealer performed numerous repairs, and could not offer an explanation as to why these problems occurred at such low mileage. Dealer stated on 9/26/200 that fuel pump was faulty. Replaced this...auto still did not work. Dealer stated maybe a faulty fuel pump was sent, ordered a 2nd, put this one in. Again, auto did not run. After the 1st one was installed, vehicle was released to me, 1.5 hours later, I was again stranded. Dealership said it was a cpi, something within the fuel injector system. That was replaced. It wasn't the problem. They finally stated it was 3 injectors within this unit. Those were replaced and my vehicle returned to me. Auto was in the shop from 9/26/2000 until 10/10/2000. On 10/12/2000, on route 33 westbound, my accerlerator stuck, my brakes did not work, vehicle was doing 95 mph. I gained control of vehicle and got it stopped. It was towed from logan, Ohio to columbus where I leased it from. As of right now, it's driveable, but not fixed. The dealership did secure the cruise control cable away from accerlerator so that I could drive it. I had to pay for a rental from 9/26/2000-10/10/2000. They refused to give me a loner car or rental from them. I am still afraid to drive this, I've had too much bad luck the last few weeks with it. I'm fighting with GM to be reimbursed for the rental, total amount is $533. I would like to get out of this lease, have my lease transferred to something else. As far as I know, there are no recalls on the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer, but I would like to know if there is any. It just seems its falling apart on me!!
