well the check engine light kept coming on and off. Was hard starting for a few months, then the only way it would start was with starting fluid... Talk about pucker effect. It's not fun putting starting fluid into the dang thing when it's at 210 degrees. Well, anyhow. I put it on the computer. Came up with "EVAP SYSTEM PRESSURE LOW", "BANK #1 LEAN" AND "BANK #2 LEAN". Along with severe misfires. I'm talking 43,000 misfires in cylinder # 4 in matter of minutes. So I changed plugs (back to OEM from Bosch Platinum 4), Plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. All Codes cleared, truck would start. Two days later...back to the starting fluid. Check engine light came back on. After dealing with this for months, I finally manned up and took it to a shop. They changed the fuel pump, now everythings great....but for how long???

So I bought this Blazer in June and thought it was a good vehicle. Then when August came around, my check engine light comes on and then turns off eventually. I also have to cycle the key at least two times before I start it just so it will start up. This continually happens so I took it to a Chevy Dealership and after they got to looking, they said the problem was my Fuel Vapor Pressure Sensor. I haven't had it fixed yet due to it costing over $500 just for labor and then the cost of the sensor. Im working at Kia right now so I'll will try and fix the problem myself.

We just had the fuel pump replaced and now every time the tank is filled to full, the service engine soon light comes on. I have no idea what is wrong and I'm very frustrated.

Wish the hell Chevy would recall their products if they are incapable of repairing them. Service Engine light....began coming on and then off, on/off,on/off in 06...eventually fuel pump went out, wouldn't run, had it replaced. 3 months down the road...there it was again..service engine light..on/off/on/off. Replaced gas cap for evac leak 4 times (any one need a gas cap???? 1/2 price) Decided what the hell...run it! Over the past 2 years, with this light coming on & off, we have been to SC 2 times / ran it in to Nashville, even took it to FL in Feb. 08. (what a trip in FL...my driver door fell off in a parking lot!) Back to the fuel system...returned home, began cutting out, hard to start & had loss of pick up power & of course the service engine light was on...took it to Chevy tech (Pioneer in Marietta OH).....showed vac leak (who would have thought that) Throttle body was sticking, causing loss of power AND fuel pump showed low pressure....Got me Another fuel pump...$600.00 by the time I was done. Ran it 110 miles...service engine light back on...back to pioneer chevy we went...Vac line was off. Ran it approx. another 110 miles...light comes on again, back to pioneer chevy we went...And yes I let them sucker me into another gas cap $28.00 this makes 5 of em...110 miles light is on again....returned it to Pioneer...where it was still showing small vac leak on the fuel system. I was told by the Chevy Pioneer, more or less "Not To Bring it Back" They can't fix it!!!! ...Well if they can't fix it...then who the hell can???? They wanted to replace the fuel pump again!!! And Pioneer is not the only chevy garage it has been in, I took it there caus I thought perhaps they were smarter than the other one in my home town, that suggested the first 4 gas caps...! I bought it used in 04 with only 54,000 miles, got a hell of a deal on it...so I thought. It originally came from Pioneer, I did find out from service records....that it had already had the fuel pump replaced once before I got it....Probably why the other guy dumped it, but I am not as lucky as he. I am now setting with 123,544 miles & Service Engine Light Is ON! This vehicle has been well taken care of, with all service records up to date, regular oil changes, interior & exterior excellent....looks practically new still, but she's got a lemon fuel system on her!

Ok well i have replaced the fuel pump, purge valve, fuel lines, gas cap, complete tune up including having the timing adjusted and still the service engine light is on and my gas mileage sucks and the truck now runs ruff, and has decided to have a mind of its own starting when it wants and stranding me when it wants for hours then starting again like nothing is wrong, still evap code is what diagnostic says, i say run it in to a freakin tree, but the insurance company says no, so im stuck with a heap of Chevy crap, that is currently waiting to be seen again on march 24,2008 by the Chevy techs..
