Impala LX

  • Automatic transmission

I purchased this car for my daughter to use to travel back and forth to school. Trying to keep her "SPIRITS" up about school. With a lot of problems. But this pushes the button. It should catch "FIRE" or something. Problem stated that the computer burned out. You need to get one. Waited 2 hours car cooled off and then it cranked.

Impala 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

At first the car was working fine with these lights on. Then all of a sudden it started NOT starting. I would let it sit for a several hours and the next time I tried to start it it would fire right up. I took it to GM to get the lights reset after spending money on a battery, alternator and diagnostics, the lights just came back on after turning the car off and on. I now just paid $160.00 to have my keys reprogrammed because the security anti-theft system chip malfunctioned, but the lights are still on and there's no way of knowing whether the security system will fail again or not. Something needs to be done to let GM know that this is unacceptable. Does anybody know a good class action lawyer or if a class lawsuit is open for this situation?

Impala 3.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,256 miles

My Impala cycles continually the battery light, the security light, and the service auto soon. GM says they think it is the BCM and it costs $600.00 plus to replace and reprogram. I ask if that would fix the problem and they say they don't know but I must pay for the repair even if it doesn't.. They tell me that the problem could result in a no start condition as the security light is a anti theft light and the fuel injection will shut off whenever. I find it hard to spend $600.00 trying to find out what the problem is if it may not fix it. I may get stranded some place if the fuel injectors shut off. I think that GM should address this problem free of charge...
