Just had a new (used) battery installed. Old one was frozen last winter. Second day with replaced battery. No observable installation mistakes seen. I noticed my airbag warning light on the dashboard was illuminated. After driving a block or so, I observed an illustration of a red colored battery in the message space on the dashboard. It went out a few seconds later. My radio went off by itself. Soon, all of my dashboard warning lights illuminated and separately turned off before turning back on again. While this was happening my speedometer and gas gauge were erratically moving to zero and back up again.
I needed to get back to my home. But before I could, my steering wheel airbag deployed for no reason. Also my horn self activated, most likely because of the airbag activation. Now my day is ruined.
I happened to be in front of an auto repair shop, and drove in immediately. All I can think of is the failure of one of the common--linked computers.
