problem #2

Feb 252010

Impala

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

The automatic door lock craped out in the rear driver side door. The door can be locked and unlocked manually, it's just not convenient. The dealer said it would take $500 to fix the auto lock in one door, and that the other door was looking like it would crap out soon, too. EXPENSIVE REPAIR

Impala LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 12,000 miles

Driver door locking switch failed (when pushed, none of the passenger doors locked). Chevy dealer replaced the switch assembly, and it was covered under the standard warranty. It was surprising that it malfunctioned with only 12k miles.
