I drove home from work the previous night just fine. The next morning the car wouldn't start and there was just the clicking of the starter. It was nearly completely dead. This had happened before and I chalked it up to a bad battery. This new battery has only been in six months so it is not likely a battery issue. There is probably some known electrical issue that I can't get a straight answer about.

Such an annoyance. After multiple issues with this car, then this had to happen. about 2 hours away from home and the battery was completely dead. When I started the vehicle, I had all these service signals alarming in my car on the monitor. and my car would not start. I received a jump from a bystander, in hopes that-that was all it needed was a jump. It didn't work, I then called my insurance to have the vehicle towed to the dealer. But the tow only covered 10 mile radius. My dealership was 15 miles away. end result, the dealership says it was a dead battery. exact words : Performed mid tronic battery test- Failed warranty code DC47L-00500-02G01...replaced battery.

I purchased the car used from a registered GM dealership. I was leaving my mother's house with my significant other and his 5 year old child. I started the car and the radio display stayed black. I tried turning the car off to see if a restart would help the screen come back on, but no luck. I drove the car home (about a 15 minute drive) and the screen stayed black for the entire day. The next morning when going to work, the screen was on like nothing ever went wrong.

I spoke with the dealership, they advised me to bring in the car, and I ended up leaving it for the weekend due to some other issues I noticed. The service department told me that a software upgrade was needed and this would fix the issue. While in the shop, a loose hubcap was tightened, they found the brake fluid cap was missing, a brake fluid flush and replacement cap was done, and tire pressures checked. Hopefully the issue doesn't come back.

I picked up the car after the weekend, the dealership went to retrieve my car, and found the battery dead. They jump started the car, tested the battery, the battery tested ok, they put a charge on the battery, and I was on my way. This was Monday. Wednesday (today), the car would not start again, all displays and radio came on, and the car is going back in again for testing.

Hoping something is found and a new battery is put in on the dealership's cost.

Impala LTZ V6

Battery was dead at very low mileage. No warning of wear down. No clicks. Service department replaced because car is under warranty. When I inquired how could a battery die that young they said it might be a dead cell or something but that it was very common for such a low mileage car. I said I had never experienced such in any car I had that new before. Bad answer.
