Here is yet another frustration to vent about. Last year on the 4th of July, Hot time of year, crusing down to Galveston.. a/c set on #4 just stops completely!

After having a fit, found out that setting 4 & 5 are no good.. Only use 1,2,&3 thank Good for some A/C right.. off course this is same with heater in winter.. Thank God here in Houston, winters are almost not :)

Blower motor does not work on speeds 4 or 5, started all of a sudden. Would like to know if this is common or uncommon and the fix.

The blower/fan control does not work on the "5" setting. After reading previous blogs, I am seriously concerned about the blower motor wiring catching fire. When I get home from Iraq, I will replace or investigate the potential problem.

Silverado W/T 4300

  • Automatic transmission
  • 71,000 miles

I have a 2006 silerado 1500 that seems to spend more time in the shop than it does on the road and now the blower fan has completely stopped working. They are saying it will be $400 to fix it. I have had this truck from new and have had many issues with it.And just after I bought this truck the dealership where I bought it suddenly goes out of business.

Silverado 1500 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission

This has happened 4 times so far. You have to stop on the side of the road, let the car cool down, and then continue. It causes a delay of 5-10 minutes or (alternatively) driving while being broiled.
