My 1997 suburban has recently started having trouble accelerating it struggles to get going and moving into the next gear and then will start picking up. Now the check engine light has been coming on. After it sits and rest for over 24 hours it seems to run alot better but the check engine light is still on. I have checked all the fluids and connections and everything seems to be in order. It also has a slight "whine" while the truck is running and when it struggles to accelerate it make a clanking noise.
