Air conditioner compressor seized up resulting in failure of the entire system and causing it to be contaminated. The dealer recommends replacement of the complete A/C system. GM has developed a new design implying they are aware of the defects in the system however; they are offering no compensation to the consumer.

The air conditioner compressor sheared contaminating the whole system. GM recommends changing the whole system at a cost of 3to4 thousand dollars. The second compressor has already failed. I have checked into this and happens quite often. GM needs to step up and issue a recall on these faulty compressor this happens just after the warranty runs out.

I have been through 4 air conditioning systems in 8 months. Each time they have completely replaced the entire system including the compressor. The first time the system actually imploded into the refrigeration lines.
