This is my 3rd Suburban and it will be my last, this 2008 model has been more trouble than it is worth. I have spent a fortune on keeping it on the road and all I get from the Chevy folks is a shrug. This transmission item is the last straw for me. I need a vehicle this size for another 5 years and I cannot trust it so I shall be looking at the competition. I should not have to replace a transmission at 88k, it is all highway miles, no towing, and of course all these items break right after my factory extended warranty has expired. My advice is you buy a Suburban is get a warranty for at least 100k, as clearly the quality of the parts on theses vehicles are substandard.
