My 2014 Suburban LTZ cost me around 60,000 dollars. It developed a crack in the dash on the passenger side near the air bag. That crack has now lead to two more cracks on the driver's side behind the instrument cowling. The first crack showed up at around 65,000 miles. It lowers the resale value of my Suburban and Chevy wants 508 dollars just for the dash. Labor added would push the cost to around 1000 to 1200 dollars. The worst thing about getting it replaced would be that the dealer would be putting in the SAME faulty designed dash and I'd have another crack in 5 years or so. I've NEVER had a dash crack in under 10-12 years. My F350 sits in the sun all day every day and has no dash cracks. It is 6 years OLDER than the Chevy. This is a FACTORY DEFECT and Chevrolet should replace it FREE of charge especially if the vehicle is still owned by the original owner. I am currently trying to get added to a Class Action Lawsuit for this problem.
