The vehicles clusters will malfunction several times a week. For example the RPM gauge will stop functioning as will the oil pressure gauge and the fuel gauge will also malfunction. Service engine light pops up once a month taken vehicle to shop but vehicle has nothing wrong with it. I believe it has to do with vehicles cluster that is constantly not working, it goes crazy all of a sudden. I have to replace the vehicles cluster for this problem to be corrected.

Electrical problems: Car will die without warning (took this to Chevy and they could not find a problem, low beams repeatedly go out after changing fuse, speedometer stopped working completely, fuel gauge stopped working completely, front A/C will not blow ever, different panel lights do not work, panel buttons function incorrectly.

I too am a reluctant owner of a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer that constantly gets the irritating view of an instrument panel that has go haywire. Sometimes these things work and sometimes they do not. I don't believe I have one working gauge in my Trailblazer. It would be really gracious for those that are relying on our hard own dollars to give us a product worth spending on.

Electrical system & control panel in my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer ls has been malfunctioning for many, many months, to include total darkness and constant "dinging" of the alarms. My local dealer continues to tell me that they "can not replicate" the problem on the computer; even though the technician has seen the "dead" panel with his own eyes. He claims he has to duplicate the problem. Obviously I have been dealing with a bunch of idiots or liars. I am convince both, after reading almost 700 complaints with your Agency. Where is the protection for the consumer? who is going to help all these people and the "thousands" who don't know about the widespread problem. GM should be required to recall these cars for the control panel failures. Please help us. No one else will......

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with only 45,000 miles and recently have had a problem with the dashboard where none of the gauges work. I was driving down the road and suddenly the speed and all my other gauges stopped working. I had no clue how fast I was going or anything about my truck. I have read where this has happening to several of the 2004's there are hundreds of complaints on the web and this site. This should be a recall by now.

The speedometer work intermittently causing problems not knowing how fast or slow we are driving. It is a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer and I contacted Chevrolet about this issue, but went on deaf ears. They have other SUV/truck recalls for the same issue, but nothing for the Trailblazer. There are many complaints for the same issue on internet sites and no action by any one to resolve this safety issue...

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the dash cluster is constantly showing incorrect. This has been going on for over a year now and started when the vehicle had around 80,000. Miles on it. The speedometer will show 55 at a stand still, and the tachometer does whatever it wants, neither do as they should. The problem is almost a constant, it will work correctly for a few miles, then goes silly again.

Instruments in my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer show wrong levels (ex. Traveling at 70 mph and the speedometer showing 55 mph) oil and charging levels are also wrong. I think this problem is in the instrument cluster. Thousands of complaints online about this problem. Government has recall other Chevy truck models with this problem but not the Trailblazer.

The speed, oil, and tach gauges on a Chevy Trailblazer 2004 started to indicate incorrect readings. After some time the gauges would just stop working. GM will replace them for fee starting at $300+. now you can get a used cluster to replace this but you will have the wrong odometer reading which will cause a fraud. GM will not reset the odometer on a used cluster! this causes someone to pay the high price or drive around with broken gauges. Doing a search on the web, I am seeing that this is not just the Trailblazer and there is a lot of complaints. I would think not knowing the speed or other instrument reading could be a safety issue, since they are there for a reason.

Trailblazer refused to charge the battery on the travel trailer. The dash lights occasionally flickered, then came back on strong. GM dealer could not find the problem. A local mechanic simply took the cover off the electrical distribution box at the front right of the engine, then pushed all the wires deeper into their contact sockets. That resolved the problems, at least until now. Now the service engine light is on again, and it says it is for the pressure system.

There are several defects on Chevy trail Blazer mine in particular is with the instrument cluster panel because it stopped recording the speed, amount of gas in my vehicle, essential to driving safety, proper speed maintenance and ensuring it wont stall out due to lack of gas in the vehicle while on the freeway at high speeds. In addition the night lights turn off randomly while driving at night and that is dangerous to me and my children when driving at night which I do often to commute home from work. There are different dates for the defects the cluster panel gage was proximately 6 or 8 months old, the manufacturer was contacted they stated it was not hazardous to my driving and that since it was not under warranty due to being a 2004 the best they could do was 10% off, I felt it was a hazard at the time of the report they fixed an issue with the turn signals but now my headlights are turning on and off randomly at night and it is scary to be driving at night and your lights go off and you cant see a thing. The lights have been malfunctioning for the last 3 to 4 months have not reported it because of the lack of response by the manufacturer with prior issue.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer instrumentation panel cluster out speedometer gas oil pressure battery and RPM. 2 speeding tickets. Speedo was off by 40 at the time, now does not work at all. No gas on freeway. And battery out caused a crash. Chevy dealership refuses to help although there is a recall for other Chevy products with similar problems. Chevy service department offers nothing and refuses to help or acknowledge anything wrong. This is a safety problem I am not the only one having this problem. Please help force GM to recall the instrument cluster panel.

My wife owns a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer and the instrument cluster is going haywire. We have already spent hundreds of dollars taking it to the dealership to have it fixed with no success. I am a pretty good mechanic, but not when it comes to all the electronics on cars these days. I refuse to take it back and get screwed out of more money. I guess this is how Chevrolet is making up for their loss. I still can't believe that there is not a recall on this as of yet. The internet is loaded with complaints with this issue. I have always been a Chevy man, but it looks like I may end up changing my loyalty to another company. With as much as we have to pay for vehicles these days we should be receiving better service on them. I will be buying a used cluster off the internet and installing it myself. The dealership even wants a fortune to replace a part they should have a recall on anyway.

Having troubles with my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer gauge cluster. Which worked sporadically then finally has stopped working completely. This seems to be a common unsafe problem in these vehicles. And there is no recall on this particular model. But Chevy does back its other models for this same problem. This is a major unsafe vehicle mishap. And there needs to be a recall placed on it!!!

2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Consumer states that he was trapped in the car even after pressing the unlock button. The door sand windows would not open. The consumer stated while driving, all of the dash lights illuminated, and were not working. The gas gauge read empty etc. Upon arriving at his destination, the doors and windows would not open, despite pressing the unlock button. The consumer and his occupants were trapped in the vehicle. The consumer turned the engine off and back on again, and everything worked. The consumer stated the incident happened several times for several days. According to the invoice, there was an internal failure in the liftgate module which caused the door locks to malfunction. The dash lights illuminating was the result of an internal failure in the ignition switch.
