CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Chrysler 200 carries the torch of "never buy the 1st year of a new vehicle generation" with pride.

The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.

I too recently rented a Chrysler 200 and was immediately appalled at the rear view mirror location. It is too low, too big, and horribly obstructs vision. I am 6' tall with a torso on the shorter side. When I lowered the seat the maximum it will go, it helped a bit, but this is a serious and dangerous design flaw. What were these people thinking?

The side mirrors are very important because overall vision on this car is not that great. The side view mirrors are also small and poorly designed.

Lastly, the rear half of the interior console is well designed, but the front half is unneeded bulk that severely restricts legroom width. Yes the shifter and radio controls are there, but its mostly just bulk and it also prevents the nice storage tray underneath from being very usable.

Other than those items listed above, this car is awesome, fun to drive and quite an engineering feat. Handling is incredible, accurate, and solid. The car took the Grapevine north of LA like it wasn't even trying. It is a true gem and a great combination of power, styling, handling, and economy.

Unfortunately, for me the rear view mirror problem IS a major deal breaker.
