CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Chrysler 200 carries the torch of "never buy the 1st year of a new vehicle generation" with pride.

The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.

I purchased this vehicle in Chrysler 200 in 2017. I have had issues that when I push on the gas to accelerate it will hesitate and then there are times when it will jerk forward and accelerate without pushing on the gas. I have taken it into the dealership many times and there has been nothing they can do as it doesn't come up on the code.

Although the dealership was empathetic all the times I have come in, this issue resulted in a motor vehicle accident. As I was coming to a stop to exit the interstate ramp, it accelerated and jerked forward as I was applying the brakes. Luckily no one was hurt but it could have been worse.

I looked up my VIN on recall and of course there is no recall for my vehicle but I have noticed that there have been recalls for this exact issue with Chrysler 200.

Very concerning! Be careful and be persistent when addressing this issue.
