As I was driving about 40mph and slowing down for a stop sign, the engine died out. Locking my brakes and my steering wheel. At this very moment the gear D was blinking on the dash and telling me to put the vehicle in park. The vehicle was disables and the ignition would not start the car until after several minutes and multiple attempts. This has occurred a total of 5 times in the last 2 weeks. This is very dangerous if it occurred while I'm on the freeway or in the middle of an intersection.
Several complaints to repair issue with acceleration and deceleration on vehicle. Randomly the vehicle will hesitate to accelerate from a stationary position. Engine, motor mounts and transmission have been replaced and issue remains. Vehicle will also hesitate to start causing me to have to try again to start the vehicle. Battery has had to be replaced twice.
Engine stated overheating. Sometimes will not start and acts as if it will shut off while driving. I was told the active grille shutter failed on the car and have only had it for 3 yrs. I see a lot of review on these parts failing meaning they were made poorly. You don't know if the vehicle is going to cut off on you while your driving due to the air not being filtered to the engine. I feel like this is a safety hazard and should not have failed this fast.

Bought the car used in March of 2019. It is now spetember and I have had to change the oil 5 times just to keep the car running. It gives no indication of low oil. If I wasn't checking the fluid levels I most certainly would not have figured this out.
I purchased this car new off the dealership showroom in summer of 2017. A couple days after having it, I was driving down a street in my hometown and the vehicle just shut completely off. I was in the middle of traffic and began to panic because I didn't want to get into an accident. I took the car to the dealership and they 'fixed' the issue. Shortly after, while at a stop light, the car shut off again in traffic and took a while to restart. Everything in the vehicle turns off. I again took it to the dealership and they 'fixed' the issue. Here we are just last week, 08/15/2020 and I'm driving on a major thru way and the vehicle cuts off again. There have never been any warning signs, lights on the dashboard/ reason for me to believe something was wrong. My vehicle barely has 50K miles. After looking up my VIN to see if there had been a recall (there isn't), I did notice that the year prior (2015) same make and model have a recall for the same electrical issue I've been complaining about. This matter is serious as the cars turns off unexpectedly and could cause a terrible accident. I will upload my paper work from the dealership the first 2X. I have not driven the vehicle since 8/15/20 as I'm afraid that someone will get hurt. I've called to report the issue at the 888 number listed but the phone just hangs up. At the time of purchase I lived in niagara falls, NY and purchased the vehicle from joe cecconi's Chrysler complex. I currently live in charlotte, nc where the most recent incident occurred.

The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal grinding noise when depressing the brake pedal without warning. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where they found no defects with the vehicle. Soon after the inspection, the contact then stated that her daughter had informed her that the oil and the transmission warning lights illuminated. The contact had called ferman Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram ' wesley chapel(24314 fl-54, lutz, fl 33559) where they were informed that a service manager would call them back; the contact had yet to hear back from the dealer. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
Vehicle was in motion going up a hill while driving to work. The vehicle stalled and shut off while other cars were behind me. This happen at least three times while driving to work before I decided to take the vehicle to Chrysler for a diagnostic check up. Dealership service department decided to give me a tune up after paying 600 dollars to fix the problem. Several months later I continued to have issues with the vehicle stalling while driving. Later on Chrysler service told me my engine was shot due to anti freeze in the engine oil compartment. Now I have no car and a $6600 dollar maintenance quote to get a new engine.
Car stalls cuts completely off no matter speed when happens you can not operate the. Vehicle I was in the middle of a 5 lane freeway where my car stalled then does I had 2 stop completely there in middle of interstate put the vehicle in park then try to start multiple times before it finally started and 2 just do the exact same not even a minute later and as of now that's all the vehicle will do it's not drivable at all up to date.
As I drove the vehicle off the lot located in modesto, ca I drove to my home address which is located in antioch, ca. On my way home the car started jerking when I notified the dealership they said they will fix it and to drop it back off. They had the vehicle for 7 days and did not fix a thing because the vehicle cuts off any power and gas control on the freeway.
I have been informed that I need engine and transmission mounts due to jerkiness in car. I have also had issues with the car shutting off at lights, or any driving situation where I may be at standstill waiting to proceed. Ex: traffic clearing or waiting for parking space. At times it take 3-4 tries before it restarts and there is no warning that it is going to cut off. Lastly, the electrical systems inside car are unstable. The air bag light goes on and off, the bluetooth connection for phone isn't always reliable. Overall I am disappointed and wish I was in position to trade it in. Please encourage people to note issues they are having as well.

The contact attempted to restart the vehicle several times with police assistance however, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was provided similar information as the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown.

The vehicle was driven to new smyrna Chrysler, 2555 state road 44, new smyrna beach, fl 32168, where it was determined that the vehicle had a blown head gasket. The contact was informed that the repairs would be an out of pocket expense. The contact mentioned that the engine was previously replaced by bennett Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, 1491 hwy 40 East, kingsland, ga 31548, in October of 2019. The vehicle was not repaired a second time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.
Cars tipn needs replaced after 35,000 miles. Car initially set all dash lights off, one front and one rear led light remained on even after key was taken out and never went out leading to dead battery. The car died on me while driving it about 20mph as I was attempting to pull out onto roadway causing near accident. Been without a car for last 3 weeks while trying to get diagnosis and repair. Total cost from going to several repair shops to get diagnosis and part to replace it is estimated to cost $1500-2000 which I cant afford. I am making payments on a car that I cant even drive. I am a college student and this was my first purchase of a car with my own money. This part needs to be recalled. I have read multiple complaints with the same issue. One Chrysler repair shop made comment that he was surprised they havent had a recall on that part due to all the ones he has seen needing replaced. This needs to be fixed and Chrysler needs to be accountable.
The engine turned off while I was driving and the power steering quit working. The screen alerterted me to put the car into park. I put the car in park and was able to restart the engine.
Air bags lights comes on indicating that there is a problem with the passenger seat. It has only came on after I have had a passenger in the passenger seat and on my instrument panel there's a red warning light that that air bag is not operational according to the dealership at jeff wyler East gate in batavia Ohio 45102 513-7523447. I also had to put the same 200 S in the shop for a massive oil leak that once I noticed it and then had it checked by a Chrysler service advisor there was no oil in the 3.6 L engine and I was told it was a common issue with the 3.6L engine that there was a tsb or something on it so I dropped it of at the above mentioned location to find out my warranty would cover the problem that it was the oil cooler cracked and I would have to pay the $200 lifetime warranty I had on the car. The other issue was there's a engine light on that indicated that the cooling system was malfunctioning which I had mentioned to the dealer when I bought the car or the sweet bungent odor that I smelled coming out of my vents at 5 miles when I bought it I was told that it would go away by 50 miles on my odometer and now at 66700 it's back and was notice by the discount tire shop tell me they smelled a strong coolent leak and I mentioned it to the dealer and they wanted to charge me more money to find if there was a issue that that had already told me was there after I bought the car at 5 miles and would go away at 50 ! to be honest I just believe I got use to it!!!
Vehicle continously stalls "shuts off" while driving this has happened numerous times, I've had my vehicle towed to the car dealership and then the car starts up again and the mechanic states they can't diagnose the issue unless it happens at the shop... this is very dangerous seeing that when I'm driving it's turning off suddenly without warning someone is going to be killed with this type of malfunction.... would have to look at my receipt for the first incident, however it has started again
Vehicle shut off while running on major highway. Immediately took the vehicle to a dealership who told me it was due to lack of oil although we perform routine oil changes. This is very unsafe and Chrysler doesn't want to assist me with this issue.
