While backing up in my parking space, my car completly shut off. The steering was locked and the car would not start back up. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to restart
The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the RPM fluctuated, and the engine revved without the vehicle accelerating. The transmission warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 87,466.
Electrical system under the seats smoked and went out for the air bags. Cost me $2,200 dollars out of pocket. I am on Social Security. Can't afford such dept. Brakes are sluggish and can't be trusted to stop quickly. Power Train, Electrical System, Engine not safe. Electrical system, Service Brakes, Forward Collision Avoidance System needs to be looked at and replace if needed.

Car is stalling for unknown reason without any warning or light appearing on dash. Feeling unsafe especially when driving on the highway because I never know when it will happen. Has been happening every day for the past 3 days. Happened in the beginning after a couple months of having the car and the first time I took it in, they couldn't find anything wrong or replicate the problem.
About 2 weeks ago, my car began malfunctioning and randomly shutting off while driving. The car gives no indication that there is an issue before hand which is dangerous. It has happened to me while entering the freeway and while on regular streets. In addition, when this happens, my gearshift somehow gets stuck which makes me unable to move the car. Sometimes I cannot turn the car off, it would get stuck running. The shift would malfunction illuminating other shifts even though it is stuck. This issue has happened to me again in the wee hours of this morning at 3am on a dark road. I feared for me life-€¦ I see that this is an ongoing issue in many complaints that I see but there has been no resolve from the manufacturer. Please help.
My car has shut off several times after starting. I have had to turn the car on and then turn it back on. The car has shut off on me a few times while driving. I just purchased this car as used in August of this year (2021). I am afraid this issue could happen while on the highway while cars are going at a high rate of speed. This most recent incident was today as I was going off to work.
The Chrysler 200's engine keeps suddenly shutting off while driving, mainly while making turns on streets and freeway on/off ramps. There are no warning lights, sounds, or visual cues to indicate any sort of problem. Sometimes the vehicle may just stall, most other times it just turns off and asks that I switch the shifter to park to then turn the vehicle back on. This issue is very concerning as it-€™s dangerous for the vehicle to shut down in traffic and could prove fatal.

My car is using an excessive amount of oil. I did an oil change on April 4th and by May 4th my car was telling me I need an oil change. I had not even driven it the recommended 3,000 miles before doing an oil change. I added the 1 1/2 quarts of oil that my car showed was low and had only driven it for a 2 hour trip before it needed oil again. It also smelled like it was burning.

The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to vann Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (899 S delsea dr, vineland, NJ 08360) where it was diagnosed with the fuel injectors and the engine needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.
On a highway while about to cross an intersection the engine just shuts off when taking off. The engine hesitates and dies with no check engine lights or anything. Taking away power steering and making it harder to stop due to the engine not running.
Sudden loss of engine when making hard turns the car completely dies out and locks my steering and puts the car into a full break lock this leads to me having to try to start my car multiple times this is very dangerous considering this could be fatal when it does out I've had problems with this car and have brought it in multiple times with no fix
Car stalls loses power dies in the middle of intersections and busy highways has very high oil consumption no low oil indicator light has ever been displayed I have almost lost my life my children's lives even my family and friends lives due to this issue it's also causing me lots of extra expenses which might I say have gotten very expensive time after time again replacing the burnt oil all the time tow truck fees mechanic fees hotel fees part fees rental car fees all because the manufacturer of this vehicle could care less the safety of the people should always be more important than anything else point blank.
