1999 Dodge cummins diesel had the lift pump fail and took out my injector pump because it starved it of diesel fuel do to the falure of the lift pump. I had a new lift pump installed and a rebuilt injector pump installed. I understand this is a very common problem wit the electric lift pumps I talked to several mechanics who said they see it happen all the time. Very costly fix!

Engine quit working due to lack of fuel. When this occurred vehicle stalled. This caused loss of power brakes and steering. This failure occurred due to fuel pump failure. Dealership replaced fuel pump 3 times.
