: the contact stated that during regular maintenance it was determined that the spare tire fell off the vehicle. This occurred without knowledge to the contact. The spare tire was originally located under the truck's bed. The dealership inspected the vehicle and determined the only part remaining was the frayed cable. The manufacturer has been alerted however they cannot provide assistance. The contact spoke with the dealership to see why the cable was not inspected during regular maintenance. The dealership explained this is not something that has to be inspected on a regular basis. Updated 7/5/2006 -
