CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar” warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

Edge Sport AWD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,000 miles

The vehicle will be paid off this November and will be five years old. Though it does not have 50K miles yet it is out of warranty. First the backup camera would show up upside down, it would flicker off and on or the backup lines would be wavy. Lately the image just goes black and comes up with an error. Upon visiting the Dealer was told it will be $700 to repair or $100 to perform a Diagnostic. C'mon Ford really?

has ford recalled 2013 edge faulty backup camera? This is supposed to be a higher End SUV. I very disappointed I bought this car, used 26K miles, great looking SUV, but For what this SUV lists for, I expected more out of FORD Quality, Change your Moto: Quality NOT JOB ONE. I’m sure is a faulty computer chip, but it’s still a faulty part I, nor anyone else should have to fix out of pocket BC Ford bought bad ICs. Don’t buy this SUV. I should have bought a Kia like my Dad suggested-
