CarComplaints.com Notes: There was plenty of hope that Ford would fix their “door ajar†warning light issue for the 2014 model year. This widespread problem has caused the previous 3 model years to stay on top of defect trend lists.
So far, the 2014 Edge doesn't share the poor reputation of prior model years.

December 2016, my low tire warning started to come on. I would check my tire and air it up. After several times having to do this I bought new tires. I have never had rims and it never occurred to me that they could be the problem. I put new tires on and the problem appeared to go away for a short while. Within a couple of months my job changed and I was not driving the number of miles I was previously and the light rarely came on.
A few months passed and my traveling increased and once again so did the low tire warning light. I finally carried it back to the tire store and they took the tire off and told me it was the 22 inch aluminum alloy wheel that was cracked. They told me it would be $500 to buy another or they could try to get it fixed. So I sent it to get it fixed.
I spent $50.00 and the problem went away for a few months.
