Hood latch failure at approx.40mph causing hood to release and completely cover windsheild... totally blocking forward vision.resulted in damage to hood and lower winshield area.($1000 +)if this would have happened at highway speed the chance for serious injury would have been great!!!!!fortunately traffic was light at time of incident(approx 6pm on Sunday evening).
