CarComplaints.com Notes: How can we give the 2001 model year a "seal of pretty good" when it has some problems with a slipping transmission and a known problem with the speed activation control switch? Because it's not the 2002. That's how.

I have noticed when stopped at a red light or just sitting in the garage or wherever. The A/C clicks on and off every 1-2 seconds and makes a loud click sound as well. The RPM goes down every time this happens. I took the explorer to the dealer and they said it is because of a IAC Motor had shorted? They replaced the motor for $284.55. However, I am still hearing the noise and seeing the rpm dip. What is the problem?
